I think this might have been made in Haiti. I’ve seen similar ones but never one that is signed like this.

It has the disturbing look of a cloven hoofed animal somehow mixed with man-kind to produce a faceless creature which has now reproduced again. Maybe the maker meant to convey such an idea or was just trying to be “artsy”, whichever, it’s hard for me to look at!
I see an ethnic mother on her knees holding a baby.lol
Lol....if those are her feet and legs, aren’t her legs bent in the wrong direction? That’s bizarre in itself.. :-)
But you have the luxury of a close examination of it and if you like it, that’s what counts!
Oh she's definitely not on her knees! And those certainly look like hooves or a hoof to me too! I would back far far away from this, same as I told hO2culture here... a fertility god of some sort. See what I mean hO2?! ;)
Sorry but I’m afraid you are wrong, there are many examples on line similar to this one of stone carved mother and child, kneeling!
Okay! No problem, I stand corrected! ;)
Been to Haiti a number of times and this doesn't seem Haitian style and I don't believe that kind of rock would be found there. What I come up with on the bottom is, "LA DOLCE". That would be, the sweet in Italian.
I just discovered that La Douce is a town in Haiti .
But it's DOLCE, not Douce. I've been up the Rio Dolce in Guatemala, but strangely it's not a Spanish word.
