    This pair of dolls are in rough shape. I can find no markings. The limbs/heads are wood, but the body and upper extremities are canvas or something like that. I'm guessing late 19th century.

    Specific info would be great. Even just the type/style of doll would help as I have no idea where to even begin.

      Your wonderful figures are Called Creche Figures or dolls . They date likely from 1800's . Creche figures are a representation of Christ's nativity in the stable at Bethlehem. They are very collectible and generally carry a high tag . Creche dolls/ figures date back into 1600's and I believe were started in Italy . Hope this helps they are wonderful !!
