These old clay mosaic beads strung on a fine Sterling Silver chain.

I found these is a DC antique shop. They were strung on that old silver chain but someone had added a more modern gold filled clasp attached to the china with very fine gold wire. I don't know much about old beads, could they be islamic? Any help would be appreciated.
