I know next to nothing about this radio.. it came from a grandparent's home, though it may have been a great-grandparent's radio originally (so the timeframe is loose at best). It appears to be the size one would use on a table-top or kitchen counter. Solid wood. The lefthand knob is volume and beneath it is says 'BEACON'. The right hand knob is the tuning knob but doesnt have the standard values on a radio dial (like i said I know next to nothing, this may be common?), it says AC and goes from 100-0. I am looking for any and all help in identifying the timeframe for this piece, any history or use info available, and an approximate valuation? Is Beacon a brand name or the type of radio? Thank you for your help!

      Anything on the back?

I doubt seriously that you will get an "approximate valuation"from a few photos. As stated in earlier post on this site, it is worth what someone will pay you. TG

Beacon is probably the name of the set and not the maker. The only Beacon Radio manufacturer I know of was opened and closed in the 1920s. This set is from the early 1930s. A picture of the back would help. Does it have a thick cord? If so, it is what was known as a curtain burner. The cord had a resistor in it and would get warm to the touch while the set was playing.
