Does anyone know what this might be?
A kind of jadeite glass (not uranium) on three ball feet with ridges and a groove on the inside.

Hi Gillan, I thought it was a container too but the opening is on the bottom and it's not very stable up the other way. TallCakes has it. Thank you TC. You have an encyclopaedic knowledge of anything glass!
makes a nice piece of art or a paperweight as is, but you can sometimes find the lighter inserts...
It is a nice ornament as it is but I'll be looking for the innards and base now I know what it is. Thank you
nice piece of Art Deco : ))
Nice Indeed !!!
I have seen a lot of them and have some which when turned over started to get hot for a light. All have been on standing ashtrays. Two holes in ashtray would collect ash, one for lighter and one for a metal cigarette container.
