So I rescued this girl (rounded ears?) from a local thrift store. She's about 9" in height. She's marked on the back "Made in Danmark" Thomas DAM I can't find anything on the internet about the mark -- I am trying to figure out what decade she was manufactured. 60s? 70s? 80s? Thanks for any information.

I suspect you may find out this is what is called a, "spoofed Troll", probably actually made in Hong Kong. There were thousands of fakes produced and most all of them have a slight change to the copyright/trademark. I would think the spelling of Denmark would be a red flag. I never happened to own a real Dam Troll with the spelling Danmark. I have owned both real and fake ones but don't seem to find this mark anywhere, even online. Perhaps someone else will give input. I know trolls in different countries were marked in different locations, right foot, left foot, back etc with different marks but were spelled correctly.

kerakimos I pretty much agree. However, in the six years I spent in Europe I never saw a troll marked Danmark. The biggest difference was in the mark on the feet indicated where it was to be sold. I think left foot was for Europe and right foot was for the USA market. As for made in marking, that is an American Tariff Act requirement called the COO act. COO being country of origin. It should be written in English because it is destined for the USA where English is the primary language.
