Very nice. Mother's friend brought from China as a child during WW II. I have another that is very damaged - carried around since 1960s. Plan to repair. (I removed one photo of a different scroll and posted it separately)

Keramikos, wow! Thank you! I wanted to try that but had no confidence i could make it work. I will try it with the other scroll. Yes, very strange words but thanks for connecting it to medicine. The lady who gave this to my mother was a doctor, as was her father and her husband. I believe my mom has another scroll with medical information. I cannot find it. Thank you!

Keramikos, the father was OB/GYN in Beijing. The mother was also a doctor, but unsure of her specialty. Thank you.

Please do no Google translate this and find someone who not only reads Chinese but actually can read/look up classical Chinese for this. The colophon carries a very lovely and melancholy sentiment. I don't have the time to do a detailed reading of it.

I will tell you what a quick reading tells me. Painted in 1913 in Shanghai by Mrs. Rong XX.

Hello wma. Again, thank you! The information you provide is very helpful. 1913. That sounds right. The Lees brought these scrolls with them from China prior to 1940. Have to check the exact time period. I will remember your advice and have the translation done.
