These are part of my new Klinger, Beranek and Zemek design glass collection, I was able to find them on Etsy for a very reasonable price.
They are in the neodymium type of glass composition, meaning they can alter their color depending on the lighting. I took the images by daylight and experimented how the colors refracted, even then you could see a tinge of blue on the sides of the pink vases.
Designed by Miroslav or Miloslav Klinger, both spellings are used. For the Zelesny Brod Sklo glass producers. Time period is late 1950s to mid 1980s, as these were popular and were part of the inventory for quite some time. Heat molded by hand, and also engraved, one with a demure nude and one with a flower and leaf motif. Just now I notice that below the etchings there are initials, with the super macro setting.
Mark Hill states in his last SKLO book, in the engraved and cut chapter, that some of these pieces were decorated by skilled craftsmen and women, he has a series of examples by these artists, but none that match my initials. Both have their original oval labels.
Beautiful vases, the delicate etchings are so lovely
