I found this today at a second-hand store in Berkeley. I think it's really cool and it definitely has some age to it. it will look great in a garden somewhere.

this is my favorite recent piece. i think it's very cool looking and to hide it in a garden will be really cool.

Concrete ? If so, some amateur sculptor had a bad day.

Golgatha The bad day was caused by a really weak mix, they tried to stretch their concrete by cutting it with to much sand. The popcorn (holes in the surface) are caused by the mix combined with using a mold that wasn't oiled before the pour and air pockets that could have been taken care of simply by vibration or even tapping the outside of the mold with a rubber mallet. The vibration/tapping makes the concrete settle and fill any voids caused by air pockets. Pretty common when people are learning or just doing it for a hobby.

i think she is too Anik! i have many garden sculptures - old and new and this one is not made badly at all. there are no airholes in her anywhere. this was probably made with a sand mold.

those shallow holes near the chest are from where pebbles fell out of it.
