    Found this in my travels.
It is an Art Deco electric table top lighter in the form of a lady's head.
The case is spelter with a copper colored and patinated surface.
In her partially opened mouth is a heating coil. When the lighter is lifted from the table, a small button on the bottom is released which would permit current to enter the coil which would then glow red hot to light the cigarette. I believe it was for cigarettes rather than cigars as the opening is too small for the latter.
The only mark I could find was "Pat.Pending". Otherwise, no indication of who made it.
It originally plugged into a wall socket. Given the state of the external wiring of this one, I wouldn't chance it. Otherwise, it survives in wonderful condition.
    Groveland.

I wonder if they stood on their own or were incorporated into an ashtray hoder with a cup for cigs and 2 ashtrays. like many from the forties and 50's were. Old catalogs would probably show them in them. Very nice form for a figural lighter.

No, it's complete and free standing. I found a number of examples of the same or similar. The base was covered in the original felt to protect a table top from scratching.
