Just found this 8" vase for a quarter at a thrift store. the top and base seem to be I black enamel paint which has flaked but the rest is 99% fine. The detail is intriguing and suggests Arts and Crafts to me. I'd really appreciate any info on this.

WOW! This is what is called a Japanese tree bark pottery vase, finished with a bark texture and brown enamel, but your's has the added cloisonne wire decoration which are designed with nature motifs and more enamel colors within the enclosures. Very colectible. Dating early to mid 20th century.

Wow back to you Truth or Dare .I've never seen this type of cloisonné before on pottery and am mightily impressed. Thanks again, and glad you love it too!
