I am hoping someone will be able to identify the maker of this wonderful hanging lamp, and provide a clue as to it's value? My mother had it installed in this upstairs bedroom when my parents bought the house forty years ago. It was a gift from my late grandmother, who was a antique dealer from Tiffin, OH. I was unable to find a maker mark, but it appears to have design characteristics similar to the Fenton lamps I have seen pictured online. There are several other very nice antique hanging lamps in the house that I will post pics of soon.
I believe it is a Fenton. Any Fenton piece made before the 1970s wasn't marked and the stickers that they has on them were commonly removed when purchased. I believe that top piece is a great find. Can't wait to see pictures of your other lamps.
hi, Mrj303 is correct. this is definetly a fenton cranberry opalescent hobnail lamp. many times fenton would make the glass pieces (font and shade) and sell those pieces to lamp manufacturers, then those manufacturers would turn them into lamps such as this one. this is a great lamp, if this piece is in perfect condition and the glass has no chips and no cracks, this lamp is worth $300-$500. hope that helps. thanks for sharing!
Wow! That's a Nice Lamp.
