These little cat candle holder/paperweights are very common in US thrift ships, even though Indiana Glass ceased glass production in 2002. They are quite heavy and solid and I've never seen one chipped or broken, so they will probably be common during the lifetime of anyone reading this post. Not sure if they were ever exported to the UK or Europe. Suitable for votive or tealight candles. This example is probably a type which will seldom, if ever, be seen in a thrift shop as it was an experimental version in bubble glass which was never released for sale. Not sure of the quantity that was produced. Unlike the typical examples, the interior bottom is very rough and uneven. It is an interesting example of experimentation by this glass maker. It is the same size as the more common versions.
Update 10/23: I finally found one of these with chipped ears. Must have been dropped on a hard surface like concrete!.

In addition to the bubble cat they have a light green bubble frog, teal bubble cat, and light green bubble polar bear that I have seen.
If you have some of those or find some, please post them to CW. I have not seen any of the ones you mention in the bubble version.
