Loved the deep blue colors. I found them at a garage sale a few years ago.
I don't know much about them. They were made in England. Marked on the back with
wedgwood water lily
originally engraved in 1809, done on the old shell edge shape invented by josiah wedgwood f.r.s in 1776 etruria england
I love wedgewood.........go to http://www.replacements.com and search there for manufacture and pattern...give you prices and what is available.
I have the entire set of this blue water lilly dishes, that were my Mother's. They were a wedding present to my parents in 1935. Some cracks and dings and cup handles broken, but they will always remain dear to me- I have the original sales receipt packed somewhere, I believe it was $29. Can you imagine?
