Child's rocking chair real wood. Curious on the year it was made and by who because it has a lot of character and detail. I want to give it to my first grandchild who just turned 1 and I would like to know the story behind it to tell the family.
I have one which is almost identical to yours. It was bought for my sister about 1949 or 1950.
The webbing eventually sagged so the bottom got replaced with wood and it got reupholstered by me. I left the skirt off and used a pretty fabric to give it an updated look. I painted mine gloss black.
Yours would be easy to fix up for a child.
Mine went thru use by many children in our family and even tho everyone is all grown up, I still have mine in my bedroom!
