Here is my little hippopotamus family, a green sculpted glass 3"H x 4 1-2"W hippo paperweight or bookend by Viking Glass w/ orig label ca 70s-80s, and a pair of pink ceramic hippo salt & pepper shakers by Fitz and Floyd from 1980 (date imprint on bottom)

Those F&F are so cute, with their chunky selves :). The green glass is pretty too.
Aw, so gorgeous. My search starts now for a Viking hippo. Two actually to allow for one being stolen by my son!

I'm so happy you liked the Viking hippo sklo42 & appreciate the super compliment, it was irresistible to me when I found it, and must have been to your son too - at least it is still in the family! Part of the appeal is the versatility, to use it either as a pretty paperweight or bookend. Have seen this hippo in amber also & got mine on auction, good luck finding another
Right Ken, that resting pose of the F&F shaker hippo is so cute & amusing, lounging with the tummy sticking out - we always think of hippos as lazy because of their size, but they can really move in a herd! Super appreciate the kind compliments
