I found this in a local charity shop. Not a common occurrence! At first sight of the handle I thought Welz, but as the base wasn't right that was out. I bought it anyway and a helpful English collector, on a Facebook group, identified it as Harrach.
It is a very pale green. There is an amber crest around the rim. The whole of the base has been ground flat, best seen in image four at roughly 3 o'clock.
Height 17cm./6.5 inches
Fantastic charity shop find! I am a big fan of glass with bumps & peculiar protusions. This fine specimen has inspired me to repost a bumptious basket of my own...never thought it may be Harrach - but the nicely finished pontil on yours looks like it has an affinity with the technique used on yours...BTW, does it glow?
I don't know whether it glows but the person who identified it has a website which states that they come in uranium glass and non uranium glass. This one is a very pale green which is emphasised at the base as you can see. Thus I think it probably does glow but I intend to buy a replacement torch to find out.
