    Can anyone tell me anything about this shell ornament please? It is about 3 inches high. I am not sure if it is glass or could it be soapstone? I have had it a long time and always wondered about it.

      It's vaseline glass - the pale yellow colour is due to uranium in the mix. Victorian era - 1880s or so.
