      YAY! You posted them!!! :D You have a lovely collection of compacts there and I can see what you mean about the similarity with them. My favourite one is the one with the little dragon around it's handle, so cool!

      I really like these Chinese pieces too. It always amazes me how they can create new objects with their traditional style of decoration.

      They even started a trend of using large porcelain shards found in an old pile of fragments which grew and grew with discarded pieces on the ground beside their porcelain studio, to make lidded boxes, I started collecting them, they were so interesting. The metal ware was similar in fabrication to the handled mirrors and probably exported at the same time, mid to late 20th century.
