This glass ashtray, 4 by 4 inches (98mm) promotes Calvert whisky, which I am not sure if is still being produced.
From the lack of a zip code, I date this item from pre 1964.

As smoking has gone out vogue, though still used for their original purpose, such ashtrays now serve other duties. Some examples are coin receptacles, jewelry holders, vessels for holding other small and even candy dishes!
Though their original use is fading into oblivion, the design and style of such items are timeless.
