Old cast lamp base

I’ve had this base since the 60’s. Not sure what type of shade it needs. The top is brass, the center section looks like pewter, the base is the only magnetic part. Looks like initials on the shoulder (see closeup). Weighs 6 1/2 #. Anyone have more info on it? Thanks
