Bought this in a box lot almost a year ago not far from Bucks County Pennsylvania. Been trying to figure out who made this ever since and here's how far I got. Gothic shape pink sponge ware marked with 2 raised horses on a shield topped with a crown with PP in shield, bottom ribbon with Bucks County ( Co is only visible as the stamp hit seam line and distorted the rest ) So who is PP pottery in Bucks County? Have checked with a few Pa. pottery experts one told me it was a very rare Pennsbury experiment which was never used or sold. Another told me Pennsbury never made it period but she had no idea who. One person told me she bought the exact same one at Pennsbury long ago but did not have it anymore and could not remember the mark. I have no idea, stumped.
keramikos, I doubt very much this was any kind of experiment. I think she didn't know just like everyone else but just didn't want to say cause she was supposed to be a expert on Pa. pottery. But then what do I know, I don't know who it is either.
