This 3"L crested parrot brooch has a pave rhinestone head, black cab eye, and very artistic goldtone framed enamel feathers of dark red, yellow, green & navy blue, the colors run together in the style of an abstract painting. By Panetta 1945-1980s
Nice parrot-very detailed and colorful. Nice find, Jenni!
I love this little brooch- parrots are such colourful birds and make such interesting brooches. This one would look fitting surrounded by layers of wet steamy leaves in some exotic South American rain forest!
Thanks all for the very kind love

Lol Thomas it could certainly be a Jimmy Buffett bird, haven't been to one of his concerts but love his songs like Margaritaville, I would definitely enjoy being one of his parrotheads :) Great comment as always!
I'm so thrilled you love this Panetta bird Ken, its body is so pretty & unusual I just fell in love on sight. Thank you for the fabulous compliments, I know you will find an equally beautiful one & look forward to seeing the lovely upcoming post
Eileen thank you so much for Love No. 2000 and the super compliments, I am always thrilled to find a good designer piece that you will enjoy, it truly makes me so happy
Thanks MrsT for the lovely praise about the detail and artful coloring, it's rather realistic looking sort of has a macaw's body
Lauren yes I can totally see this parrot in the Brazilian rainforest, that is a fantastic image, it could be perched somewhere in the Amazon jungle! Thank you for the superb comment & excellent ideation as always
I love your little parrot brooch!!
Many thanks Scott for the lovely compliment & thoughtful love, very glad you liked my multi color parrot
Glad you enjoyed this tropical parrot Sean, totally appreciate the love it is so nice of you
As I sit here with a room full of parrots and a couple cockatiels I have to love this. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks fhrjr2 for the love and I am SOO jealous, your home aviary sounds just heavenly!! I have always loved the larger birds like macaws & cockatiels but living in apts we were only allowed parakeets, but I adored the three I had & they were like our "children", had one male at a time so it would talk & got lucky two out of three! I'm sure some of your guys are talkers too, being a bird owner is so fun & always interesting :)
Newfld, I have three parrots and two cockatiels. Four of the five talk. Youngest is the best talker because he sits next to me and we spend lots of time together. He will be two the end of the month. Fortunately he doesn't know any cuss words but it never fails if someone visits, he very clearly and loudly says; Oh! Oh! I did a doo doo, I did a doo doo. Makes it hard to keep a straight face and not bust out laughing.
Haha don't I know it fhrjr2, we put our first 'keet in our large railroad bathroom by the door, his first "words" were mimicking the toilet flushing! Of course we moved him into the living room pronto lol :)
Thanks so much Ted for the love and support, so glad you liked this piece
Thanks very much clockerman for the love, it is greatly appreciated and so pleased you liked this parrot
