I discovered this watch fob in South Carolina. The silver fob has on it's face, "ATLANTA CHAMPIONS 1910." The Crackers won the Southern Association league in 1909, but not the next year. From my research, in 1910 the Crackers played the fastest (32 minutes) non-farcial professional game played at that time and probably since then. For his part in the game Syd Smith, from South Carolina, received a watch fob. I believe this may be the fob. Contacting the Baseball Hall of Fame, they had not seen another and that it was rare and unusual. The fob was made by the Whitehead and Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey.
