This is a clay rhino my cousin James made. When he found out I love rhinos, he kindly sent this guy to me. Unfortunately one of his horns got damaged in transit, however I think it fits in a grim kind of way because of the rhinoceros' plight. He is my favorite rhino in my collection because he's one of a kind and because of the kindness my cousin showed me in sending him to me.

Very well done. Is your cousin a studio potter or hobbiest?

He's more of a hobbyist. He's done pottery for years. From the usual pots and vases to animals and people. His wife would be the painter for a lot of them too. Although now his wife is in pretty bad health so I dont think he's done much with it for some time.

If I owned this and someone was critical about the broken horn. I would simply say the Rhino is getting old and not as horny as he used to be.
