Garage sale item. I can't find anything similar and can't tell if this is 5, 50 or 500 years old. Can anyone ID this or point me in the right direction? It also came with a flat dish.

It's traditional Hopi pottery, from Arizona. Like most Native American crafts available today, it was made for sale, for the tourist/collector market, which in the Southwest dates back to the late 1890s.

Most Hopi pottery wasn't signed before the 1970s, however, so this probably dates to ca. 1950s or so.

Thanks very much CanyonRoad. I'm thinning out my collectibles corner and didn't want to sell something I had no idea on how to value. It appears it unfortunately won't fund my retirement so I'll be listing it on eBay this weekend to make some room. Too much stuff and not enough space! A collector's conundrum.
