Can anyone tell me about this Scotch tape tin? It has " Scotch Brand Cellophane Tape No 600 2 rolls -1/2 x 2592 Inches Transparent" on both sides - is it for real? Thanks for the help.

Yes it is real and also very common. You can find them for sale all over the internet if you look.

Thanks. My internet searches didn't turn up anything doublesided except for electrical tape. Appreciate the response.

There are also at least a couple similar tins already shown here on CW rather recently, I know because one of 'em is mine. ;-) :-)

Is it safe to assume you're using the term "double sided" to refer to the tin itself (in other words, having 'lids' on both sides thus to hold two rolls of tape instead of just one) vs. the tape itself? That would make it kinda unique I bet, is there actually a 'divider' inside it too?

The tape was actually double sided, sticky on both sides. I still use it all the time and used it in these tins years ago in the military.

I also use double sided tape - have 2 rolls in my desk now. Both are Scotch brand.

I don't believe this tin held doublesided tape - just 2 rolls of the regular cellophane tape. I have other tins with the same No (600) but they are cream colored on the bottom with the plaid lid. This one has the plaid on the bottom also.
