Small vase made of cobalt blue-purple glass with stylized floral decoration in 1000/1000 silver overlay technique. The floral pattern is repeated 9 times all around. The material is truly thin.
With appropriate illumination, the blue-purple light passes through the openworked flowers producing a mystical impression!
Designed by Jean Beck (Munich) for the glassworks Deusch. Executed around 1920.
Deusch is regarded as one of the inventors of the galvanoplastic silver overlay technique, in which pure silver is used.
1000/1000 is engraved at the bottom edge.
586 is painted in reddish enamel on the bottom of the vase.
