French Sarreguemines porcelain claret jug w/ cover wrapped with reticulated band

French Sarregumines porcelain claret jug with cover wrapped in reticulated bands.
The metal of the top and bands are usually called silver and probably was silver in color
but I believe it is nickle silver, if you look under the cover
it does show a silver color but with over 100 years of age it has taken on a dark patina.
This is a pre-1890's production referenced in the Majolica book by Victoria Bergesen
page 112.
