This appears to be a beer bottle. It has a G on the top of the bottle and a wheat symbol. Does anyone know the year and make?

This appears to be a beer bottle. It has a G on the top of the bottle and a wheat symbol. Does anyone know the year and make?

trying to figure out how to post a pic of the bottom. Figure it has to be fairly recent since it says 'dispose of properly' and 'No deposit * No refill'
or it could be C G. I didn't find anything similar upon looking into Glenshaw Glass....
Both the Stubbie and Steinie styles appear to have originated just after the end of National Prohibition making their first appearance in 1935 and 1936, respectively. Both styles were used commonly through the 1940s. By early 1950s the Steinie style (the 11-12 oz. sizes anyway) seem to have become less popular and the classic Stubbie shape dominant, likely even being more popular than the export style at that time (Schulz et al. 2019; empirical observations).

Hi I just found this same bottle in New York, I've been trying to also do some research and haven't had any luck yet, I was thinking thatcher manufacturing, is one of the Mark's on the bottam but was wondering what else you knew thanks??

Hey, that’s cool that you’re finding bottles, too. So, I guess that means they are not rare. But, I’m still hoping someone comes on this site that knows EXACTLY where they came from. Until then, I’m using mine as a bud vase????.

Okay I figured out the mystery! It's a 1982 Genesee cream ale beer bottle ????
Mystery solved, thanks to Tstallman! I found a bottle just like it on eBay, but with a cap and label valued at a grand total of $2.50!

I found one in South Jersey
I found this same exact bottle in Altoona PA like everyone else this post is the only thing I can find that looks exactly the same.
I found one of these as well this weekend. Most everything I found was from 1930s-1940s in Onchiota, NY.
