Cute little button of brooch. Handmade and marked ZII for 835 silver (post-1953). There's a maker's mark that to the best of my reading skills I make out to be WLF, but I can't tie that to a name.
And yes, the mark is located on one of the "ears" of the design, as per the third photo. It amuses me the maker chose such an unconventional but clever location to mark it. It's little wonder it was sold as costume jewelry, but the handmade appearance and the pink glow got my attention. (I don't know if "pink glow" sounds weird, but it's what some silver pieces looks like to me. Possibly there's a lot of copper in the remaining 16.5% alloy? It's not semi-lost goldplating, because I have pieces like that and it's a different look.)
