Very Early Russian Carved Duck Large carving from 1 piece of wood

I Think this is a Very Early Russian Carved Duck Large carving from 1 piece of wood.

It is very thin and i believe it was made the same way as those Nantucket baskets are carvered or Nynskies By holding it down on a stationary area by screws or string like the chinese carvings are done.

It has 2 holes on the bottom center.Which i would imagine it was held down on.

Any input would be grand and I thank you.If only the stamp that they used didn't chip off
