This is a fabulous replica in 1:2 scale of Senna's McLaren period helmet. I think it's by Minichamps but I bought it without a box so I'm not 100% sure. It's missing the Marlboro decals but I've found a guy in Australia that sells vinyl stickers that I'm going to buy. There's a tiny bit of scuffing on the Honda visor strip but other than that it's in tip-top condition.
What follows next will show how much of a Senna fan I actually am.

(Hi Mods, I have no idea in which category this should go, I'd appreciate your help in placing it where you think fit. Thanks, Simon.)

Wonderful Formula One collection, really super. Big Senna fan myself, what a tragic end but that's the risks of the sport. Great posts all, thank you

Senna had such a colourful F1 career, which included a turbulent rivalry with Alain Prost.

Hi Newfld, I must admit to have fallen out of love with F1 these past few years. I was a big fan and would religiously watch each GP, subscribe to F! magazines and generally immerse myself in the who, what, when, why etc. I kind of begin to lose faith after Senna's death but still hopped in and out as a casual fan, but these past few years, with little or no overtaking, the ludicrous DRS flaps, the introduction of the 'power units' (err, aren't they engines?) and the domination of Mercedes, there seems to be little point in watching it anymore. F1 needs to take a long hard look at itself as it seems to have lost its way.

Hi Gillian, yes, you're right. It seems so long ago now but I still believe F1 was more interesting and compelling to watch back then.
