Finally got a nice Hubley Navy Fighter bomber like the one I had when I was about 9 yo. It's numbered 1495 on the box so it's from 64-65. It came in the same colors from 61-63 as #495. Hubley changed to 4 digit product numbers during the early 60's.
The plane is in mint condition, it has one misaligned decal on one wimg. The box has a few dents but it's pretty nice overall. I think I got a fair deal, I've seen boxed examples with paint mars go for $30 more than what I paid. I've even seen restored ones go for what I paid. I've got one I restored in the background of the last photo, the great shape the paint is in gave me a chance to compare the colors I used. The dk blue matches very good, the red fairly good, I need to find another lt. blue to match better, but it's not to bad.
I only need a blue/silver version that came with the 1958 Air Force Bomber Transport(HTF) and the red/wht/blu American Eagle that was made into the 70's after Gabriel bought Hubley(fairly common) to complete my 495 collection. I've got restored versions of both, but I'd like to have the orginals.
I've had a pretty good year, I've been able to acquire some of my favorite toys in great condition.
Thanks,

Congrats on acquiring this cool Hubley Navy fighter. Nice!
That is a great find. Boxed items are all that.
Thanks Bucket.
Thanks Apache, it was a fair price also.
