This advertising calendar bank promoting The Peoples National Bank of Edwardsville, PA may be dated from the 1960s. It measures 4 by 3.75 by 2 inches (10.2 by 9.6 by 3.7Cm).
Its slots accepted quarters, dimes, nickels and cents. On the rear was a “conscience slot” where on could add halves, or bills, or could add money without misaligning the calendar.
It came with a key, which I have unfortunately misplaced over time.
The face of this bank features graphics for the PNB, obviously. This face is made of plastic, and is held on the bank by tabs. This leads me to surmise that any banking institution could order these banks with their own logos and graphics on them.
Hi, everyone, thanks for your love of this old bank!!!!
