I thought i would share this 1st plane of 10 that brougt at a antique store. She had another 5x more that were in worse shape , but still worth the the purchase . I went back to buy the other broken ones and somesome brought the lot. This lady who owns the store said she got these Planes from an Estate sale from a Old war Veteran .
That's a Monogram F4F Grumman Wildcat kit #Pa-66 1/48 scale first made in '61. They made it for several years. You can tell it's this kit because the wings can be folded(they look like they're glued now) and the drop tanks. The Spitfire you posted is probably a Monogram kit also. If it looks like the Spitfire's landing gear was made to be retracted(they might be glued and not retract now) it's the Monogram kit first made in '62. It's 1/48 scale also and they made it for decades in different boxes. If you post some more of these, take a picture of the bottom and I can possibly indentify them. I built the first issues of these kits abd several other 60's Monogram kits.
#toyrebel. I could only imagine your collection of models and toys. I makes me happy to see someone so knowledgeable about toys that made them smile when they were whipper snippers.
#toyrebel. I check to see if these wings were glued fixed. It looks like these weren't foldable wings. Does that change the year?
