The truck in the first is a Hubley Kiddie Toy #478. It's supposed to be a Bell Telephone Truck you can barely see in the picture behind it. Somebody removed the original back structure and stuck this metal cannon on it. The seller is a very nice person and evidently someone took advantage of her. Unfortunately I'm a soft touch, so I told her for just curiosity and possible parts I'll offer this price I think is fair. She was happy to be bailed out, she must live off of selling to a degree). She threw in the Marx tank pictured. I'd like to find some tracks for it, but it looks great and scoots along nicely.
I'd like to know if anyone can identify the cannon manufacturer. It looks like a 155 Long Tom, but it seems slightly short if it's to scale. They also put a 8" Howitzer on the Long Tom carriage, but if this is to scale it would be kind of short. The barrel is about 8 1/2" long. It has a elevation wheel on the right side that evidently functions but it's painted over. This truck was evidently painted with a thick nap roller made for stucco. I'm going to strip 'em down today. If you toy gurus can identify this cannon, I would appreciate it.
Update: I'm pretty sure it's a Britains Long Tom #2064. Does anyone agree to confirm it?
    Thanks,

That's one way to get a truck to do a wheelie, if it were real.

I like it even if it isn't stock. I'm not familiar with the Britains Long Tom sadly.

A 155mm cannon on the back of a '46 Ford truck could wheelie if the rear axle lasts BB II. The 155 could also settle arguments as to who won the race.

Thanks Apache, just curiosity got me to purchase it. I like it also. It may have been some kid's modification. It's a Britain's 155 I've verified. It's a pretty cool gun, I love the Long Toms, they were a great artillery piece. The paint is wayyy too thick, I've stripped the cannon, it has a knurled elevation gear that works. I'll just clean them up and paint them. It turns out I got a Marx tank, Hubley Truck chassis and a partial Britain's cannon for about $10.00 each, I can live with that.
