Two pottery items from Jeremy Diller for Raku Pottery Works , CA. , the first is a nice pot with horses running on all sides of body and a crackled white glaze rim ; the second piece is a wedding jar with two openings and a Indian Wedding Prayer on paper hangtag that reads
NOW YOU WILL FEEL NO RAIN , FOR EACH OF YOU WILL BE SHELTER TO THE OTHER . NOW YOU WILL FEEL NO COLD , FOR EACH OF YOU WILL BE THE WARMTH TO THE OTHER . NOW THERE WILL BE NO LONELINESS FOR YOU .
NOW YOU ARE TWO PERSONS , BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE LIFE BEFORE YOU . GO NOW TO YOUR DWELLING PLACE , TO ENTER INTO THE DAYS OF YOUR TOGETHERNESS , AND MAY YOUR DAYS BE GOOD AND LONG TOGETHER .
Fired in outdoor kiln at 2000 degrees , if it survives the heat it is then placed into container with mesquite and brush wood shavings ( giving it the lovely colors ); then removed to water submersion at still 1000 degrees . Both of these pieces are signed on bases and full of that lovely coloring the raku process will give you . enjoy (-:
