Bambus1920
(53 items)
Schliersee vase 29.5 cm tall (11.5") painted with the Gloxinia motif in gold (Dekor 848), c. 1900-05. It consists of two inner layers (greenish-yellow and salmon pink glass) and a clear outer layer. The pontil is finely polished and the rim furnace finished; highly iridised and difficult to photograph. A similar example can be seen in Christiane Sellner's book 'Glasener Jugendstil Aus Bayern' on page 150. That one resides in the Augustinermuseum in Freiburg, Germany.
A vase also in Form 283 (unpainted and in a brass or copper mounting) can be viewed in the Passau Museum. Enjoy.
