Not sure how old this is or what it is other then some kind of trunk. Light weight. Leather prices with possible snake skin. Metal handles

You didn't give any dimensions but it could be a hat box. Someone here will know but dimensions would be helpful.

Looks more like a hat box from the mid to late 1800's. As fhrjr2 mentioned, more photos and dimensions would be very helpful.
