Thanks for your insights! I had not seen any reference to triple wall construction, but would not have been surprised if it had been tried. Most 'double-wall' construction boasts a silver plated interior. Later on, we see metal surfaces with a porcelain finish. In both cases, the interior was not removable. Reed & Barton produced a removable ceramic liner that's really neat! Silver repair specialists have not figured out a method to repair the dents on a double walled pitcher. The problem being that they can't get to the dented surface without destroying the unremovable liner. With the R&B removable ceramic liner, an amateur can whack out the dents with no problem!!
