It’s really pretty! Is that a loop at the top of the pendant?
It looks like amber with seeds or plant leaves encased in it.
Compare yours with pictures of amber online and also have someone check it out in person.

Yes loop is top and bottom of pendant but one broke...
Broken loop or not, it’s still beautiful and with the defect on the back, I wouldn’t worry about it.
But please do get it checked to find out if the center is authentic amber.

Amber is fossilized tree rosin or sap from ancient times-many thousands of years ago.
It has always been valued in jewelry making.
It may contain insects that got trapped in the tree sap when it was fresh and liquid or sticky and, so, became fossilized along with the sap.
Amber can also contain bits of plant material.
Insects and plant material just add to it’s beauty and interest and value.
Google the word amber and you will see examples.
But be aware that it can have plastic or glass “look-a-likes”, so that’s why I say take it to a jeweler so they can assess what you have for sure.

I hope I don't bring bad news, but this is a modern piece - you can tell by the thick lines on the back. Machine-made and roughly so. The color, "antiqued copper", is also a giveaway that this is modern. The amber I'd guess to be pressed amber, which is composed of real but very small pieces of amber that aren't too useful on their own. Pressed amber can make for wonderful beads and has all the traits of genuine amber, but isn't of the same value as natural pieces of amber of comparable size.
