Hello I have this bangle and for years had been wondering what kind of stone it was as no one seems to know but yesterday I was told it’s Chinese jade.

I don't think that's jade. It looks like banded agate to me. Likely vintage - many modern ones are dyed/treated for colors and color divisions that don't occur naturally. Opaque ones are also, in my experience, a tad rarer to come across than transparent ones (even leaving aside the fact all treated ones are transparent because otherwise they won't take the new color well).
