Picked up this Fish Hatchery Truck, found the net and 7 fish in a seperate purchase. This was cataloged as #498 from '58-'60. It originally came with the truck/tank, 8 fish, net and tank lid. You could scoop the fish off of the pegs in the tank with your net, to stock your backyard pond(s). I'm missing one fish(Perch Family?) and the tank lid. These are HTF lose with all the fish and the tank lid is virtually impossible to find unless it's boxed, even most of the ones I've seen opened with a box are missing the lid. The Hubley Book I have deducts 40% for a missing lid, it's HTF believe me. It's amazing I found the fish and net at a pretty fair price. The truck has minor paint dings, but a decent overall gloss. The stickers are in great shape also. Considering condition with the fish and net I got a bargain compared to what I've seen them go for.

Thanks Apache, you really don't see them loose that much, especially with the fish, etc. It's kind of different than most Hubleys, it has a kind of cute play aspect to it.
Vynil, it is an oddball, especially being a usually mundane Hubley.
The parent would have to be off the wall I guess, my mother would probably have thought it was cute. If I ever run across the incredibly rare Squirrel Hatchery Truck with the HTF individually numbered nuts, I'll let you know.
Never knew this truck existed....pretty cool piece!
