Hello everyone!!
Here's "Left" facing Boston Terrier doorstop that I just acquired. As you can see, he still retains most of his original paint. Only about 10% of the Boston Terrier doorstops made were "Left" facing. Most you see today are "Right" facing. This one apparently once had a little collar as he still has evidence of where a collar once was. He's a two piece design held together with a single screw. I'm not sure which foundry made this fellow. He measures 9 3/4" tall, 9 3/8" long and he weighs in at 5.9 lbs. Very happy to be adding this fellow to my collection of doorstops.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!!!

Very handsome pup, love his original design, and great find of the rare left facing terrier
Thanks Jenni!! I feel pretty lucky to find a left facing Boston, especially with minimal paint loss. I have a few other left facing, but with very little of their original paint. So, this one is my best left facing Boston.
Many thanks to you all for the loves and for stopping by!!

Thanks Eileen!! I call him vintage as he's not quite 100 years old yet. He's from the early 1900's, probably 1920's. There are many reproductions of this one, but I find that the reproductions are a bit fatter than this originals and the castings are much rougher than the original. Also, the reproductions seams are never quite as tight as the originals. I own a couple of the reproductions and they're crudely cast and not painted as well as the originals.
Thank you all so very much for the loves and for stopping in!!
