1949 Solid Brass Virginia Metalcrafters Horse Head Clip (Waynesboro, VA)

This is a very cool metal clip by Virginia Metalcrafters made in 1949. The story is right on the clip itself, so it didn't take much researching to find out who, what, when, where and why. Although, why is up in the air. Maybe for clipping papers together temporarily?
