Today's a special day...well, to tell the truth, every day's a special day! For me, it's one year since I found a new home, & the start of a new life. It's also International Non Binary Day, which means a lot to me.
So here are some random images to celebrate...
1. Aquariums are kind of strange...in a good way. Happened upon this one in a local club.
2. Art glass. CW folks know it's good - & it makes my day, every day. It's got me through the hard times & makes the good times even better.
3. Flowers. This is a daphne in my garden, flowering for the first time. I wish you folks could smell it - it's pure magic.
4. Op shops, thrift stores, charity shops...whatever you call them, they're the best place to shop for so many reasons. You never know what you'll find, you're helping worthy causes, you can score awesome bargains, & sometimes you just discover unintended surrealism, like in this photo...

Yes, it's Bastille Day too...funnily enough when I inspected the house a year ago the agent was having a conversation in French with some other people looking over the property!
I totally agree about the hypnotic qualities of aquariums, they are fascinating indeed...fish merely going about their business are soothing to the eyes & soul...
I love the post, love your hair - color and cut. I love your enthusiasm for all things of beauty!!
I have only one refrigerator magnet (how unusual is that?) but I could resist buying it.
It says:
“Every day is a gift. That’s why we call it the present”.
My other favorite saying is on a card: “Everything has it’s beauty, but not everyone sees it”.
I can an almost smell the fragrance of daphne.....!!

Bambus1920 - yes, it was a long time between drinks for them as the saying goes. Now if only Australia had got through to the final of the Cricket World Cup. I had to go for New Zealand instead!

Great post IL, and you are looking good! I am so happy that life is settling for you and the relationship, new home, new person, are working so well, and may the good times continue. I hope all your other "family" stuff is settling down too, and that grief is lessening.
Thank you so much, racer! Yes, matters have been resolved after a challenging time. After it was all over I felt free to start again, making a life of my own at last.
