Offered without any particular commentary otherwise, here's a couple little items I've come across lately which -- while nowheres near "old" (or even "vintage") still represent kind of a unique niche in history I think...?? ;-) Call 'em "future collectables" maybe...?? <giggle>
The little red (and empty, as it was when I got it!) plastic container on the left is apparently an authentic example of what you'd get your "medical/recreational marijuana" in, if (now, sorta) legally purchased somewhere in the state of Colorado, USA. Its main label looks like it was a now typical 'thermal printed' one which (as those all do) fades rather quickly, but still shows a little more info if one looks close -- this vial held some little quantity of a variety named "Strawberry Cough Sativa". It was a recent gift to me from a nephew (who truly does suffer some rather serious back/spine pain issues) who is in fact the legal owner of "the card" that would allow him to purchase it there where, I have no doubt, he actually did. :-) The little 'warning label' also affixed is amusing too...yes, it probably does "contain marijuana"...?? <LOL>
The BIC lighter was found behind a nightstand at a LaQuinta Inn I stayed at somewhere last year, kind of a 'gift' from a former room occupant either from CO or having recently visited there I guess...a little Googling at the time revealed that "DURANGO ORGANICS" might very well be one of the specific places in CO, where one would actually go to get your "prescription" filled??
Now...just where did I put that bag of Oreos...? <ROTFLMAO> [and what category to post this in, for that matter??]
We still get it in bales. LOL !
My kind thanks for the appreciation of these little bits to Vynil33rpm, jscott0363, fortapache, Brunswick, and blunderbuss2!! ;-) :-) :-) BB2 -- I know, I know -- just one brownie on Sundays. Gee, look what day of the week it is today?!! <LOLOL>
One further little detail I can now add to this, since AR has just recently (more than a few elections since voters statewide actually approved "medical marijuana", that is...) actually *made* it available to those members of the public willing to jump thru all the hoops to qualify. [no bb2, I'm not one of 'em... ;-) ]
Anyways, I digress. Point of this is that, according to (continuing) local TV news footage of our brand new "dispensaries" (and their lines of patients waiting) it generally is furnished here in either *green* colored (makes sense?) plastic vials like the red one here, or small metal containers with pull-top lids, about the size of cat food cans.
Mebbe my nephew will eventually find me 'examples' of those to show as well...he's prolly got an AR card too...? ;-) :-) :-)
