My Aunt believes this candle holder is the oldest item in her home. I'm not quite sure but I assured her I would help her get some history of its origin. Would like to get some input about this piece. This item means the world to her and she is very protective of it.

This is a classic German Dresden piece, probably dates to the 50s era. I think the mark was by a porcelain distributor named F Wittnauer, there is a great Dresden website called Porcelain Marks & More or PM&M, also a very good book on Dresden (there is really only one from the past 20 yrs, found on that "a" book website). Lovely item!
