I had inherited a few items that I was told were from early 1900's. An "antique"dinning room table with six chairs. None have arms and I believe the ulpostery isn't original. I'm new on this site so please bear with me on the pictures.

Its' construction doesn't really say 'antique' to me. I wish you welcome to CW!

Thank you, I have a table but it's not totally visible in the pics. It cranks open with a handle and has bar running underneath. Opens to insert leaf. I was told they chair and table were antique. I'll upload the pictures I have.

I tend to agree with Gillian but will add that early 1900's could be anytime prior to 1950. I sooner think it is more mid 1900's post war years possibly a bit earlier.

Thanks for the input. Did you happen to take a look at my table I added?

Yes I did and it is most commonly called a crank table if it is what I assume it is. The pictures of it are of little help. Most of them open anywhere from6 to 18 inches to expand them. Not possible from the pictures to be sure they were originally all a set so we take your word for that in that you inherited them. Crank tables didn't go over real big but would quite possibly date to war or pre war years. I am not sure where they originated but I do know they were popular in England for a period of time around WWI.

Thank you for the info. I did receive them as a set as part of my stuff from family members death. I assumed the chairs came with it. You know what assuming does:).
